El Lissitzky, self portrait photo collage - Metal art sculpture

Metal, wall or desktop, 13 cm cubic sculpture with a clear print protected between two acrylic glass of a famous self portrait of one of the most important figures in the Russian avant-garde, the architect and artist El Lissitzky. The art object is designed and completely handmade by us ARTandSHADOW, a family artist/maker team. The photographic clear print image is a reproduction of the photo collage taken by El Lissitzky  produced by superimposing two separate photographs, the architect tools, his Self Portrait, his familiar 'hand of God' motif and large printed letters XYZ, both taken in 1924. Depending on the lighting conditions available, this sculpture will project a focused shadow of the image thereby adding another dimension of drama to the work.
