Two centuries-old rose windows, reborn in steel and light.
Rose Window Diptych is a pair of handcrafted wall sculptures inspired by vintage architectural drawings of two iconic French rose windows — one from the historic Château de Chantilly and the other from the Église Saint-Léonard de Croissy-sur-Seine — both drawn by Honoré Daumet, winner of the prestigious Prix de Rome in 1855.
The intended irony is deliberate: these shadow sculptures share the very qualities of the windows they depict — transparency, light projection, and geometric precision. What appears at first glance to be an abstract minimalist design reveals itself, on closer inspection, to be a faithful echo of Gothic architectural heritage.
As light shifts throughout the day, the acrylic glass panels cast intricate patterns across your wall, turning your space into a living play of light and shadow. This is architecture you can hang.

Product Safety & Compliance Information
Legal Notice & Artistic Nature
This is an original, handmade work of art, produced in a
limited series and intended for collectors and decorative display purposes
only. In the interest of full transparency and the safety of our collectors, we
provide the following information regarding the correct handling and
preservation of the artwork.
Intended Use & Environment
- Indoor
use only. This sculpture is designed exclusively for indoor decorative
display. Exposure to outdoor conditions — including rain, moisture, frost,
or high humidity — will cause corrosion of the metal components and
degradation of the acrylic elements. - Not
a toy. This is a professional artwork and is not intended for children.
Please keep it out of reach of children and pets at all times.
Material Hazards & Handling
- Metal
components may include intentional sharp edges, points, or delicate
structural details inherent to the artistic design. Handle with care
during unboxing and placement to avoid injury or damage to the piece. - Acrylic
elements should not be subjected to excessive pressure or impact, as they
may crack or detach from the metal frame. - Stability:
Place the sculpture on a flat, stable, and sturdy surface capable of
supporting its weight. Avoid high-traffic areas where it could be
accidentally knocked over.
Maintenance & Care
- Cleaning:
Use only a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Never use alcohol, chemical
solvents, or abrasive products — these will permanently cloud, scratch, or
crack the acrylic surface. - Heat
& light: Keep away from open flames, candles, and direct high-heat
sources. Prolonged exposure to intense heat or direct sunlight may warp or
discolour the acrylic components.
